Man or Destiny?

John 2:24-25 –  But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men,  25 and had no need that anyone should testify of man, for He knew what was in man.

There are many who go all of their lives living out what people want them to fulfill instead of walking out the desire God has predestined for them in their hearts.  This leaves the person trapped and tormented in the field of the “fear of man” and only being able to gaze or wish they could fulfill their true calling.  Nevertheless, there are some that choose to break out of the opinions man and into the expectancy and purpose of God.  There is a point in Mark 5:19-20  where destiny (Jesus) passes by James and John and calls them to follow.  They immediately dropped the process of trying to mend things, (nets) such as opinions of family or man’s expectations, and cleave to their true calling and hearts desire. This doesn’t mean that they were rude to their family or friends while leaving. It just means that they decided to go after a higher calling of God without any attitude toward the surroundings that carried them up to that opportunity in life. If the disciples would have stayed in the boat of “ordinary,”  we would not have had the New Testament written to help call us out of our common positions.  Get out of the boat of entanglements and into what God has put in your heart to do. Break free of being controlled by the “fear of man” and be led into the green pastures of purpose by Jesus.
