1 John 1:1-4
“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life — the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us — that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.”
In approximately 70 AD John is clearly writing to a group of people that are well matured in the walk of the Lord. Some of the people of that current age understood the magnitude of the revelation John was conveying to them. They understood that they could have fellowship with the disciples whether while they were living on the earth or living in the heavens. While living on the earth man now has access to have fellowship with those either in the heavens or on the earth. With God there is no variance. Jesus came, gave His life for us and tore the veil of sin that had kept man out from having fellowship and access to heaven with the Father. There are now no limits set for man. We can come boldly before the throne of grace and have fellowship with the Father and His disciples. The heavens are open! Believe today! There is more than what we have been told!
