Scripture for the Day

Luke 4:3-4 And the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.” But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.'”

When man’s consciousness is forced to produce, he is only being tempted or questioned by the enemy of his own identity.

    Elaborate?

I am trying to think of this in my own personal context and Jesus’.

When Satan tempted Jesus, he was tempting Him to operate out of His own Godliness, as opposed to relying on the Holy Spirit and God the Father.

And Jesus came, for many reasons, one: to show us how to live via dependence on God.

So is this a warning then to not operate out of our own conciousness? To not rely on our flesh indentity but our identity as a child of the Lord?
