Genesis 3:8-9 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”
God is Spirit and He dwells in a certain nature, place, and mindset of the Spirit called “Love”. In this passage we can see through the mind of God, that Adam is in a whole different realm or nature of the spirit. Within Adam’s mind, he has detached himself from the dimension of heaven (God) and has traveled in the spirit, to the dimension of sin or hell where the nature of fear abides. This also caused his physical body to operate according to the frame of mind that Adam was in. So he physically separated himself from God as well. When God asked where Adam was, He was not referring to a physical place. He was referring to the dimension or nature of the spirit. For God wasn’t dwelling in the Adam’s place. God was dwelling in Love and Adam was in Fear. God was in heaven and Adam was in hell. God does not abide where the old Adam dwells. Come out from among the trees today!
