Why Fire?

Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. (II Kings 2:11 NKJV)

Fire (tension, trials, etc) is likely sent to separate us from those we have been in relationship with. At the same time, it is also used as a vehicle that transports us to our next place of authority. If you are in His fire, relax, the “Chariot” will carry you to your next destination. Jesus went up this way as well. The peoples eyes were just not open to see it.
