The Past or Jesus?

Luke 9:59-62 says, Then He said to another, “Follow Me.” But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God.” And another also said, “Lord, I will follow You, but let me first go and bid them farewell who are at my house.”
But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

Most people think they have to bury the past things in their life before they can have a true walk with Jesus Christ. It is a lie. If you find yourself going back to bury things that have already died and passed away, you will die doing it and miss the true “Life” of the Kingdom of God – Righteousness, Peace, and Joy in the Holy Spirit. In this passage the man’s true past, present and future was standing right in front of him. Jesus is the true life, and no other. He is our author and finisher of our souls. Don’t go back to the mind of the past. Walk with your future – Jesus.
