Mindless Love

1 John 4:7-11 – Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

God did not wait for man to love Him first. God loved man when He himself wasn’t receiving or even being loved. His Son was sent to His own and His own received Him not. Nevertheless, He loved man and is still loving man today.  This clearly shows us that man doesn’t have to wait to be loved in order to feel and put his love into action. Man was made in the nature of God.  Man’s true design from the beginning was to love first without even wanting anything in return. Jesus was clearly that example for us.  If you feel you have to be loved first in order for the love in you to come forth, remember, God first loved you from the foundations of the world. Love the way God has designed you.  Love first, think later.
