Matt 4:8-11 -Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”
Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.'”
Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.
I want to share a piece of revelation Jesus revealed to me long ago about walking in the spirit realm. Again, this is only a part, but I feel it may help a lot of us.
The devil didn’t tempt Jesus with just the kingdoms that we can see on the earth, he tempted him with kingdoms that were in the realms of other dimensions of the spirit as well. Satan made Jesus feel as though He had free access to all of the realms without having to be submitted to the Father. Besides, it had been written that they were to be His anyway. You could also say Jesus was tempted to travel into these realms without the given authority or will of the Father. This was very enticing to Jesus. Again, it had been written that the kingdoms were His. This temptation probably felt so inspiring, as though this opportunity was from God Himself handing the kingdoms over to His Son to have free access to roam anywhere.
Yet Jesus knew that great things do not come easy. Broad places lead to destruction, but narrow ways lead to life. They come with a price. He knew that He could only receive and move in the realms of these kingdoms by the will of His Father or we could say, “the will of the Spirit.” If Jesus had taken the bait of Satan, He would have traveled into these different realms, but He would be like a thief and a robber; like Satan – roaming in the spirit without true permission. Jesus spoke these words to us in John 10:1 -“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. One definition of this scripture clearly shows us that man can enter into realms of the spirit without the permission of the Lord, but if he does, it is demonic. The end result is delusion and destruction. This type of way never glorifies Jesus. It only glorifies “self”, making the person feel as though God is proud of him. Yet of he is feeling is the powerful pride of Satan himself. Afterward the person will find himself speaking about all the places he experienced, but never mentioning the Lord.
So many Christians are falling for this temptation, and it is leading them further and further away from their relationship with Jesus. It is slowly destroying peoples and churches as well. Ask yourself, “Why would I need to travel to these realms without having a purpose given to me from the Lord?” Are these experiences changing me into the character of Jesus Christ? Is it glorifying the Lord? Am I getting revelations of Jesus, or am I receiving revelations of the spirit world? Most of us know we have authority given by God and have free access into the spirit, but are we to move in this freedom through the will of the Lord, or through our own will? We have to enter these realms through the “Door”, through Jesus Christ. Like Jesus, we can do nothing unless we see the Lord doing it. We cannot do anything without Lord’s will controlling our lives. What He says, we say, where He walks, we walk, what He performs we perform.
As the Spirit of God led the King of all kings, let the Lord lead you in your walk of life and in the spirit. Don’t let the enemy tempt you to enter into the realms of the spirit without Jesus. For he knows, if he can get you to enter by your own will and gifting, then you will be conformed to his image instead of being transformed by Christ. Let the Lord invite you to the realms of the spirit; don’t go in through your own initiative.
The wonderful part of this is that if so many are being tempted in this area, we are at the point of true spiritual breakthrough. After Jesus overcame the last temptation in the wilderness, angels came and ministered to Him. This clearly reveals that we are all at the tipping point when His Kingdom comes to us or on the earth as it is in heaven. If you are getting tempted to go there without Christ unction, it only means it’s coming to you. Just hang on! ☺ God’s Kingdom wants to come to us, instead of us going to it. It wants to come to the earth. Rejoice! You are at your breakthrough!
