Luke 9:62 – But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”
When a man begins to plow a field, he fixes his eyes on a particular point on the other side and begins to walk behind his plow, never letting his eyes waver from that point. When he reaches the other side to turn and plow his next row, he will see that the path he just finished was made straight. The point is, once you get a goal in your life never look back. Glancing back only produces a crooked path and keeps you from reaching your original destination. When man keeps his eyes fixed on the prize before him and plows through the things of this world, he will most likely have a straight path, and righteousness, peace and joy trailing every step of the way. Don’t look back. Keep looking forward!
