II Thessalonians 2:3-4 – “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
Today, many are beginning to fall away from living the life of Christ in these days. Most are giving their time to “self” spiritual entertainment and knowledge. This deception that is being released is causing the “man of sin” to begin showing his true nature within the temple of God. However, many look for a “literal” man that is going to sit in a literal temple one day. Paul warns us not to be deceived. The enemy would like for mankind to believe it is a literal man, instead of it being the “spiritual fall man” of sin that dwells within mankind. In Isaiah 14:16-18 it says, “Those who see you will gaze at you, And consider you, saying: ‘Is this the “man” who made the earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms, Who made the world as a wilderness And destroyed its cities, Who did not open the house of his prisoners?’
“All the kings of the nations, All of them, sleep in glory, Everyone in his own house.” Paul speaks of this “fallen nature” in Galatians 5:15-25, where the “flesh” wars against the Spirit of God within us. That spirit of the fallen man, is called the “old man”. (Eph 4:22, Col.3:9) It is eager, and violently wanting to exalt itself within above the Spirit of God in the temple of God. For the temple of God is our bodies itself. (1 Cor. 6:19-20)
In these days many are thinking they are following God, when in reality they are following “good” spiritual feelings and pride; believing that it is God, yet not realizing it is leading them to themselves and not God. However, when one follows Jesus’s life, they have the opportunity to “deny” their “self centered” emotional lives and follow another “One’s” life. Jesus’s life will lead one out of his/herself and into a new eternal life – the life of God. Being led by the Spirit of God leads us to Jesus and not ourselves. We must put off our former conduct and put on Christ in these last days, less even the elect be deceived.
We must remember, after the serpent deceived Adam and Eve to focus their minds on themselves instead of God, unknowingly they were conformed to the image of Lucifer. The serpent didn’t have to do anything after that. For they had become the image of the “Accuser” instead of the image of the Lord. They allowed the nature of the “Accuser’s” authority to sit in the temple of God. That day, man became the image of Satan instead of God. Yet God loved us in spite of our deception and fallen nature. Because of Jesus, man now has the opportunity to see this “old man” kick out of the temple of God or body, by allowing Jesus to come within their lives and sit once again in His holy temple to rule and reign; releasing life evermore as they follow the King’s voice instead of the “self” voice that only desires “his” ways in us instead of God’s way, Jesus.
Because many are consuming the same deception that was given in the garden, mankind is now feeding the spiritual “fallen man” within, causing it to grow and manifest its true nature, which is rebellion against the Truth, laws of the land, and eventually, destruction of each other, and all things concerning the Lord. It is man that is trying to be God within humanity, which is the very nature of Satan that wants to rule and reign in the temple of God.
Nevertheless, we see in the history of the Bible, God always has raised up sons of God, that walk within His life to guide his people back to walking with Him; saving them from the destruction of themselves. When Jesus came upon the seen, the spirit of man was at all time high living within man. Jesus walked among every evil thing that the “fallen man” had produced through the nature of Satan. He walked within a valley of dry bones and breathed life within them once again. This caused a great army God to arise that was hidden within the shadow of death. God will do it again through a people who will walk within His spirit, giving life and speaking Truth in love to all. They will have the “Spirit of God” ruling in their temple. They will not do anything of “themselves”. They will only do what they see the Spirit of God doing. They will not speak with their own authority, but will speak when the authority of the Spirit wants to speak. Many will turn back to the Lord, not just because of the miracles and wonders that they will see, but will turn because how they walk in their everyday lives. Just the way they will love, will send out whistle to nations to come back to the life of Jesus. They will allow Christ back into their temple, which will kick out the “old man” that has ruled for decades. Today, take off the corrupt man, and put on the new man, which is Christ life. Allow Christ to live and guide you in life. For He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
