Psalms 23:5 – “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.”
1. When Jesus had enemies in His face, He would not listen to the voice within that would try to tell Him, “Protect yourself”, “Destroy your enemies,” “Say something hurtful,” “Expose them now!” He would listen to the Spirit of God and God would give Jesus fresh bread or Truth that would feed His enemies and destroy the spiritual enemy that was controlling them.
2. Jesus, through the obedience of the Spirit, would find Himself serving His enemies at the time where man would want to kill them.
3. Jesus was and is the Table that was set for all of us while we were enemies of the cross. He fed us all while we still betrayed Him.
4. When one has an enemy in their face, that’s when God wants to feed them His Spirit instead of ours.
5. When the negative (enemy) voices began to speak within our own heads, that’s when God truly wants to feed us fresh loving bread from heaven. That when God speaks. Negative come from the stronghold of our “fallen sin nature or old man” that is against the Spirit’s will that dwells within man.
6. The enemy that is against Christ’s will does not come from the outside, it comes from the inside. Yet that is the moment the Spirit within sets a table of Love to feed us from His heart. Look for a “Holy Spirit’ during the arguments that come within the head.
7. God sent His Son, to show us, that we too, can release God within us when the enemy is roaring like a lion, as Jesus did.
8. Once one begins listening to the voice of a “Holy Spirit” within him/herself instead of listening to their own opinion or feelings, then there cup (soul) runs over with joy, because they have allow the anointing of God to be poured upon their minds.
