John 19:1-4 So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him. 2 And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe. 3 Then they said, “Hail, King of the Jews!” And they struck Him with their hands.
4 Pilate then went out again, and said to them, “Behold, I am bringing Him out to you, that you may know that I find no fault in Him.”
When Jesus came upon the earth, He not only died for our sins, but also by the things He did and said, mirrored to man his true nature, authority and power that was given to him from the foundations of the world.
In this scripture we see an example through Jesus’ pain, our true make up. Even though man be scourged by the authority of this world, and his mind twisted by the thorns of deceit, he is still is able to show and give pure love and forgiveness in the midst of it all. Though man be struck on the face by the life of this dark world, and be clothed by mockery and rejection, man has the ability to turn the other cheek and release power and forgiveness in his situation. This power enables his heart to stay clean and come out of the trial without any fault found within him. Jesus did not go through these pains for His own sake, but for ours. So that we could truly see that we are made in the same nature as He. The nature and image of Love. Man’s nature, “Love”, has power to overcome every evil thing that approaches upon his life. Through this small passage, it only shows that man is truly “Supernatural.” If you are being mocked, rejected or persecuted by the enemy, it only proofs that you are like Christ. The image of God. For Satan hates the true image of man. He hates “Love.”
