Rev 12:4-5 – And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. 5 She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne. Whenever God is about to release something new in our lives, we not only go through the pains of birthing it, but also the enemy is right in our face as well waiting to devour it. You can see this principle all through the bible where men were faced with opposition but in their obedience to God they rose above the occasion and birthed His purposes and brought down their enemies. This happen with Jesus almost daily. He not only had to go through the pains of just being different from the society of world, but also when He would perform a miracle or birth His Father’s will, the enemy was there to intimidate or devour it. But Jesus was caught up in heaven’s will rather than the enemies’, this released all the authority of heaven to destroy the devil’s works and put man back in alignment with God. When the devour comes and the birthing pains begin, get caught up in heaven, for there you will find the rod of iron to rule and reign in your situation.
